What a Wallet pass is
Apple Wallet on iPhone and Google Wallet on Android already hold boarding passes, tickets and bank cards. A loyalty card can live there too, as a pass with your name, colours, the customer’s progress and a QR code staff can scan.
How a customer adds it
The customer scans the QR code on your counter or taps an NFC chip. A short sign-up page opens in the browser, they enter a name and email, and an Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet button saves the card. No app to install, no account to create.
What updates on its own
When staff add a stamp or points, the pass updates on the customer’s phone. Offers and messages can appear on the card, and a pass can show a short notification on the lock screen when something changes, which is what makes Wallet cards good at bringing people back.
Privacy and control
A Wallet pass doesn’t need the customer’s location or contacts. They can remove it at any time, and businesses should only send promotions to members who agreed to receive them.
Where MIMO stands
MIMO designs every card for both Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, with seven card types and your own branding. Wallet delivery is being connected ahead of launch. Until then, each member’s card opens on their phone as a web card with the same design and QR code, and staff scan it the same way.
